The Voice mentor Will.i.am: I put on an English accent to pull girls
Will.i.am is one of 4 mentors on The Voice
Will.i.am has admitted that he tries to pick up women by pretending he's British.
Unfortunately for the 37-year-old Black Eyed Peas star, who naturally speaks with an LA accent, the technique isn't very successful.
'Sometimes I do say I am from London to the girls and I put on the accent,' Will tells The People.
'My face moves so it doesn't work.'
Will likes to keep in touch with his fans and was reportedly told off by BBC bosses for looking 'unprofessional' by texting and Tweeting while acts were performing on The Voice.
But he later told his Twitter followers that he was just giving them a 'closer connection' to the show and insisted that he's dedicated to the singers he's coaching.
