'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Moves to March 2013 to Make Room for 3D Upgrade

Well you can scratch one 2012 summer movie off your schedule. Despite several looks at the film and even a trailer, word has just dropped that G.I. Joe: Retaliation will be moving from June 29th, 2012 to March 29th, 2013 in order to make some room for a 3D conversion. Part of this has to do with helping the film perform better internationally, but some of it may also have to do with the fact that G.I. Joe 2 would have had to go up against The Amazing Spider-Man, both of which would've had to share a very similar audience. Plus, one look at how well The Hunger Games did in March made many behind the scenes feel better about debuting what's essentially a summer blockbuster a bit earlier than expected prior to the official start of summer.
