Beyonce Knowles: I had a fresh wax and got my nails done before giving birth to baby Blue Ivy

The singer never stops being glamorous

Beyoncé Knowles became a mum in January

Beyoncé Knowles has revealed that she had a number of beauty treatments in preparation for the arrival of her first child, Blue Ivy.

The singer, who was recently crowned the most beautiful woman in the world by America's People magazine, tried to ensure she was looking good for labour.

'I did have a fresh eyebrow wax,' confides Beyoncé, 31.

'I got my nails done, I got my feet done, had my hair done, and I had my little lip gloss.'

Beyoncé - married to rapper Jay-Z, 42 - says she gained 50lb during pregnancy.

'I didn't feel that I looked beautiful during birth, but who does?' she asks.

'After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight...I barely recognised myself.

'But after many hours of labour, I couldn't care less about anything but my child. I didn't care how I looked.'
