Justin Timberlake 'crushed' over news that Beastie Boy Adam Yauch is dead

Justin Timberlake has made a successful transition from singer to actor

Justin Timberlake has paid tribute Beatie Boy Adam Yauch on Twitter.

Rapper and filmmaker Adam died at the age of 47 after battling cancer.

'Crushed to hear the news of Adam Yauch's passing,' Justin Tweeted. 'My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.#RIPMCA.'

Justin, 30 - who believes Adam was a 'true pioneer of art' -  is modest about his own achievements.

'I've been really, really lucky. Because I look back and I don't think I'm the most talented singer, or dancer or actor. I don't think I'm that good,' he told The Times.

'It just takes this inner, head-down type of thing. That will to achieve was the other half of why things probably happened for me. It takes balls.'
